ESCAPE THE TRAP
I have found that our students have really benefited from this programme and your friendly, relaxed approach has given them the space to open up about their own experiences.
There are several students who throughout the weeks would normally refuse to come to school and have said “Miss I have only come in because it is Escape The Trap” which is testimony to you and your amazing programme.
I feel the programme has allowed them to be more vigilant in their own relationships going forward and has given them clarity on why certain things may have happened in their past.
Thank you so much for the tools you have given our students to hopefully enable them to not fall in the trap and go onto have healthy relationships in the future.

WHEN LOVE BITES by Cathy Press
A young person’s guide to escaping the trap of harmful, toxic and hurtful relationships.
When Love Bites aims to make clear that you are not responsible for the way you are treated by your partner or for how you feel about yourself as a result of their behaviour.
You can only be responsible for your own behaviour, and in turn, your partner is responsible for the way they choose to behave towards you.
I was inspired to write When Love Bites as a result of working over three decades as a psychotherapist with thousands of people, both teenagers and adults and encompassing all sexual orientations, who have had long histories of relationship abuse.
Much of this suffering could have been avoided if they had had access to the knowledge, insight and learning in their teenage years.

Trust in Relationships
Surviving a situation in a relationship involving your partner cheating on you is a million-dollar question.
It isn’t straightforward and much will depend on how you define cheating.
This could range from messaging or flirting to having a full-on affair.
Some signs that your teen may be being gaslighted
Many young people experience gaslighting in their early relationships and friendships at a time when they are learning about themselves, their identity, values, beliefs and ideas.
Anxiety at Work
We have all experienced times when our jobs have seemed more stressful than usual. Even if you enjoy your job and have good relationships with your colleagues it’s all too easy to find yourself being overwhelmed and feeling stressed causing your anxiety levels to rise especially if there is also a lot going on at home too.
